Hurricane Ian tore through the western coast of Florida on Wednesday with 150 mph winds and driving rainfall. More than 2.6 million homes and businesses were without power Thursday morning, and the death toll is mounting.

If you’d like to help, there are multiple options to make an impact. If you're unable to help at this moment, keeping people in your thoughts and/or prayers always helps.

1️⃣ Blood Donations: The Red Cross has been running very low on blood donations. Consider making an appointment in your city.

2️⃣ Volunteer Opportunities: There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available with Volunteer Florida. For a comprehensive list: https://volunteer.volunteerflorida.org/search?shareId=968b42da01e7488a9269ba43daf8a913&layoutViewMode=mobile

3️⃣ Financial Donations: There are multiple verified options to donate to have food and supplies delivered to those in need.
- Farm Share is a Florida nonprofit that sources leftover fruits and vegetables from farms and distributes them to people across the state. The organization said it was sending truckloads of food and supplies to Floridians. You can donate at: https://www.farmshare.org/how-to-help

- Feeding Florida is a network of the national food bank nonprofit Feeding America. The organization is coordinating with food banks across the state to provide food to victims of the hurricane. You can donate at: https://www.feedingflorida.org/taking-action/donate

- Convoy of Hope, a Missouri-based nonprofit, is delivering supplies to Hurricane Ian victims. Its donation page outlines what your donation amount can cover for a family. You can donate at: https://convoyofhope.org/donate/disaster-services/ian-22/

- Dream Defenders - CEOC, a Florida nonprofit supporting Black and Brown young people across the state, is collecting food and supplies to deliver to hurricane victims. You can donate at: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/ceoc

ThatHelps will continue updating this opportunity with additional ways to help as they become available.

Thank you so much.
