Atrocities of war are often highlighted in nightly news reports, and in our school’s history classes.
There are also modern day atrocities which country’s can inflict on their own people. These don’t always garner the attention of our news programs, particularly in light of all that is going on.
We begin this 2 part series with a look at the Uighurs, a minority ethnic group in China.

There are 85 known detention centers in Xinjiang, China.
The Chinese government call these “re-education centers”....they are outlined in barbed wire.
