It's hard enough for any young person to figure out who they are, even without the added complexity of gender and sexual orientation. LGBTQ kids who come out risk a lot of rejection - 2 out of 3 LGBTQ youth report being bullied and disowned by family, or being coerced into changing their identity or orientation. Over half of transgender kids will consider suicide at some point.
