An open-pit lithium mine is ongoing at a Northern Paiute sacred site in Nevada. Organizations are speaking out and standing in solidarity with Peehee Mu'huh, also known as Thacker Pass. Thacker Pass happens to be the largest known lithium deposit in the U.S. The mining project is looking to secure domestic minerals to manufacture batteries for electric vehicles. But, the mine has faced court challenges from organizations who not only believe the mine will destroy delicate ecosystems, but it is also a sacred site for the Paiute people dating back to 1865.

Take action here and add your name to help stop the mining 👉 lakota.law/ThackerPass
