Planning end of summer or fall drives? Did you know that Google Maps, when used to help you navigate from point A to point B, has the ability to calculate a route using the least amount of carbon emissions? All you have to do is use it, and select the route that's the most 🌎 friendly. If different routes are comparable in length, Google Maps will automatically give you the route which will emit the least carbon.

The top brass at Google believe their new and improved route calculator could save 1m tonnes of carbon dioxide a year, or the equivalent of taking 200,000 cars off the road.

Go ahead and give 🌎 a break on your drives. After all, it's a free app and it only takes about 30-seconds to make an impact. (Once in Google Maps, head to "Settings" - "Navigation Settings" - and choose “Prefer fuel-efficient routes”)
