Over 10,000 ex-prisoners are released from America's state and federal prisons EVERY week and arrive on the doorsteps of our nation's communities. Studies show that approximately two-thirds will likely be rearrested within three years of release. *

With statistics like this, one thing we can possibly all agree on is that the system isn't working to make re-entry into society a success. State prison populations are also getting older. The number of people aged 55 and older behind bars is rising and expected to total one-third of the prison population by 2030. Studies show that the more violent crimes are committed by people in their teens and early 20s.
