Whether soccer is your sport or not, watching the FIFA World Cup later in 2022 might be on your list of to-do’s. After all, the sense of country and emotion are just as exhilarating to partake in as the sport itself. This year’s World Cup, which begins in November, will take place in Qatar. While this Gulf state has long been known for human rights abuses, it is also not the most inclusive. Despite assurances from FIFA, Reuters has reported that hotels in Qatar are refusing to accommodate same-sex couples.

Inclusive venues can undoubtedly by found to hold these types of events. Consider adding your name to a petition, supporting the rights of the LGBTQ+ community.
