Book banning is a common practice in public schools across America. Last fall, the American Library Association received 330 reports of book challenges. A challenge is an attempt to remove or restrict materials. This is based upon the objections of a person or group. Each challenge can contain multiple book titles. This leads to books being banned which causes certain ideas to be removed from students' grasp.
