Olympic diver & gold medalist, Tom Daley, has called for countries with anti-LGBT laws to be completely banned from the Olympics. Tom is making it his “mission.”

After winning his gold medal at the Tokyo Games last summer, he spoke passionately on the rights of LGBT people and said he felt empowered to be a "gay man and also an Olympic champion." There were more out LGBT athletes at the Tokyo Games than any of the previous Olympics combined, which is a great step forward.

QUICK FACT: 10 countries participated in the Tokyo Games that punish being gay with death. Qatar is one such country that has extreme rules against LGBT people.

TAKE ACTION: If you’d like to show your support, consider emailing the U.S. National Olympics Committee at international@usoc.org, letting them know. Ahead of Paris 2024, you can also email France’s Olympics Committee at cnosf@cnosf.org
