The lights are going out for fireflies. Fireflies are the most luminous insects in the world, and their population is in a decline. (There are also three other beetle families and one gnat that has luminous characteristics.)

You’ll be surprised to hear that there are simple ways you can help make a difference:

1️⃣ To help fireflies thrive, they need it to be dark! Consider turning off lights at night that you’re not using.

2️⃣ Or, stop using pesticides on your property.
