APRIL 2023 Update: Wands For Wildlife has received so many mascara wands that they have currently closed their collection temporarily! Thank you for helping! However, their non-profit affiliate partner, Pact Collective, is collecting them (along with other beauty packaging you might otherwise be throwing away). For details on a Pact Collective drop-off near you, or to mail them in: https://www.pactcollective.org/consumers

AUGUST 2022: Your mascara wand donations have allowed Wands For Wildlife to help 125 wildlife facilities and 106 home-based wildlife rehabilitators. That means thousands of animals have benefitted from your wands.

——————-

The next time you’re going to throw away your old mascara wand(s), please reconsider! These wands are wanted and needed, and they serve as support for wildlife caregivers.

Beginning in 2017, wands were shared with wildlife rehabilitators in North Carolina, helping the injured and orphaned. The initiative has since expanded, and wands continue to be needed.

This is an easy way to get involved to help wildlife AND to re-purpose something that would otherwise be laying in a landfill.
