India’s crisis with Covid overshadows their other - access to clean water. Local waterways used to provide help, and deep groundwater is running out.

Over 50% of their population has no access to safe water. And, about 200,000 people die every year for lack of access to safe water.

BUT, there’s hope. An age-old practice could help the situation.

Learn more about the “mannu vaddars,” otherwise known as traditional well diggers. Their techniques and journeys are fascinating, and their goal is to bring 1,400 million litres of water a day to India’s tech hub of Bangalore.
