More than 500 million bees have died in the last 3 months. Bees have a really important role in the food chain - with around one-third of the food we eat relying on pollination mainly by bees.

Here are some easy ways you can help keep bees alive and thriving:

- Tap “Join” above.

- OPTION 1: Leave your grass to grow a little longer as it gives bees more shelter.

- OPTION 2: Grow a garden....even a small one. Growing plants encourages bees to pollinate.

- OPTION 3: Create a bee bath - which is filling a small dish with water and stones - that will let bees land on the stone to drink water.

- OPTION 4: Stop using pesticides.
