One Act Of Kindness Donates $5 To Mental Health Support.

Studies show that acts of kindness improve our mental health. That’s why ThatHelps wants to double your impact—and your mood—for the cause of mental health support. This month, doing one simple act of kindness will help those who are struggling with mental illness.

For each user who completes the Act of Kindness Challenge on ThatHelps app, we’ll donate $5 to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), a grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.

Here’s how to double your impact for mental health support on ThatHelps during the month of October. It only takes about 3 minutes!

Step 1: Download our app. The Challenge lives in the “Featured” section at the top of the app feed.

Step 2: Click “Join.” Then perform a random act of kindness. A few ideas to get you started: Prepare a meal for an elderly neighbor who lives alone, or buy a cup of coffee for a stranger.

Step 3: Mark it “Complete” on the app, once you’ve completed the act of kindness. Shortly after October 31, ThatHelps will make a donation to NAMI up to $5,000.

Step 4: Check the progress. ThatHelps posts donation receipts from our past Challenge fundraisers, like the Plant Trees Challenge and the End Child Hunger Challenge. Open the app to track the impact you and others are making for the cause of mental health support!

Consider sharing your act of kindness to inspire others to do the same.
