Being a father is an incredibly important role in life. Could it finally be the time that the stigma surrounding being a stay-at-home Dad is fading? The percentage of stay-at-home parents who are fathers has risen dramatically over the last three decades. From 1989 to 2021 (the latest Pew Research Center data), that represented a 63.6% increase. Today, there are about 1.4 MILLION stay-at-home Dads in the U.S.

In the 1990's, men including stay-at-home Dad Hector Jaeger felt isolated while his wife went to work. The stigma was real. BUT, he never regretted it and even saw the massively positive impact it had on the couples two daughters.

Working with the motto of "Dad's Don't Babysit (It's Called Parenting)," the National At-Home Dad Network was born in 2003 with just 3 stay-at-home Dads. Their mission? To empower fathers and champion a culture that supports this.
