This mother-daughter dream duo is bringing forgotten works from Black composers back to the New Orleans opera scene. OperaCreole spotlights what was 19th-century New Orlean's "pop music of the day." Creole musicians of color played in the premieres of more than 200 musical performances in the city during that time.
